The Company Director

Dr Robert Carter is an honours graduate from the medical faculty of Sydney University who has spent many years in general practice in England, Canada and Australia. He is a Member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians and has been a tutor for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Carter’s special interest has always been wound management. In the 1980’s, when there was a virtual epidemic of pressure ulcers in the health care facilities of the USA, he arranged several studies in American hospitals that demonstrated genuine Australian medical skins were an effective means of preventing pressure area damage. During that period, he worked with members of National Pressure Ulcer Prevention Panel (NPUAP) and became a lead sheeping authority on support surface technology.
At present, Dr Carter is the Medical Director of Eniax Pty Ltd, a diversified medical equipment supplier. He is responsible for the development and selection of new products, which are extensively tested by other health professionals so that any product released onto the market will perform to expectation. Dr Carter has been a member of the Wound Care Association of N. S. W. since inception and he is currently on the executive committee.

Dr Carter remains at the leading edge of research in pressure area care and wound management. His expertise enables Eniax to be the only company selling pressure relieving devices to boast the advantage of having the services of a full time medical practitioner.
